I barely have time to breathe lately, but everything is beginning to fall into place. Sometimes, while your looking at "now", you lose sight of your future: just back up from the big picture and focus on the details. As cliche as it sounds, its so important to take things step by step. I am now behind in my black belt program, but soon I will bounce back and be up to par. Too many times, I try to be a perfectionist: I have to do it right. This thinking is too unrealistic and, at times, overwhelming in my daily functioning. So, my new goal is to be a little more relaxed and realize that my imperfections make me who I am: they make each one of us WHO WE ARE!

I tend to ramble about god knows what and right now it seems to be happening.

BOX A THON

The box a thon was more than a remarkable experience. When loud John was up there annoucning these young childrens' names, all I could do is push myself to fight for them. I wanted to fight as hard as i could to connect with each child. I am now a big sister and I hope she will be coming to classes soon. I'm comfortable around children and that is what I want my career to be based on: helping children one by one. But, I'm so glad we have raised 3,300 dollars that will be put to all the children in need of a role model. So, guys and ladies, if you have an extra 2-3 hours a month then help out!

Thursday- The complaining stops now.

Our society makes it a point to voice their complaints towards this and that. However, I see this as weakness and fear;but, I have been complaining about how sore I have been these past couple days. So I ask myself..what will this do for me? It will make me an inch closer to failing. John Kyle told us a few nights ago..Never let anyone see that your tired. It's easy to give excuses but where will that get you? It will leave you a mile from the finish line and years from the point you should be. Suck it up. Take a deep breath and keep going. Let your muscles ache, your bones feel like their breaking, and your body drag; but do not let anyone else see a drop of pain. We all need to realize our bodies MUST be pushed to what we see as " impossible" in order to receive the results we want.

Hey, were fighters..aren't we? I want to one day be able to fight in the ring. This ring I watch other guys fight in every night: I want to be apart of this red and blue ring that stands for so much more then punches and kicks. Furthermore, to me, this ring shows strength and the opportunity to defeat any stronghold you might be suffocating under. I dare each one of you reading this ( including myself) to stop dwelling below your weaknesses and rise to the top. Be the person you want to be, or become this person. Despite your past, or any baggage you might be weighed down by. Let go. Let your dreams become reality. It starts with you.
